Lee Lesley has more than 15 years of experience in the private equity industry, having spent time on both the investment and investors relations sides of the business. She formed Timpson Cove to work with private equity managers to help them achieve their fundraising goals, providing the experience and flexibility of outsourced, senior-level resources.

Lee most recently headed investor relations and marketing at JMI Equity, a growth equity firm headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland and San Diego, California. In this role, she led the fundraising of the firm’s $1 billion fund in 2014, and assisted with the fundraising of its $875 million fund in 2011. Previously, Lee spent 10 years at Allied Capital Corporation where she was part of the marketing and fundraising team for the firm’s asset management business. Lee’s experience at Allied Capital also includes six years as an investment professional focused primarily on equity investments in consumer products and business services companies.

Lee received a Masters of Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology.
